So, instead, here is my list of of the top ten side characters that I want to get their own book. Warning: minor spoilers for the following books may appear.
![]() I frequently fall in love with non-POV characters, which is always a real downer because it’s impossible to be satisfied. Honestly, if J.K. Rowling wrote every single character in her universe their own book (or book series), I would be totally on board. In fact, if I was being honest, I’d just list my ten favorite Harry Potter characters as the top ten characters I want to get their own book and be done with it. But I wouldn’t do that to you. So, instead, here is my list of of the top ten side characters that I want to get their own book. Warning: minor spoilers for the following books may appear.

I can’t believe it’s time for a fall TBR list. I feel like I just made my summer one, which by the way, I didn’t make a huge dent in: out of my list of five, I read one. So, yeah. Anyways. Here are the top 10 fall releases that I can’t wait to get my hands on:
Time for another Top Ten Tuesday (a weekly feature hosted by The Broke and the Bookish). But, once again, I’m going off script. We took a break last week, and I missed last week’s TTT, which made me super sad. So, I’m rectifying the situation by tackling last week’s prompt: create my ultimate dream team (for lunch purposes anyways).
A couple of weeks ago, I had to choose the ten characters who would accompany me to a deserted island. Now, as then, I have to take stock of my priorities and goals. But unlike last time, when seduction was my ultimate goal, this time I’d like delightful conversation.
The best lunches involve catching up with good friends, laughing over delicious food, and helping friends with life problems. My seduction island, aka Operation Ralston, didn’t provide opportunities to hang out with the best and brightest females. I now have an opportunity to fix that oversight.
Time to meet The Ladies Who Lunch.
Time for another Top Ten Tuesday! TTT is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, but as is becoming the norm, I’m going off script again and putting my own twist on the theme. This week, I was supposed to discuss the top ten books I want to read but haven’t purchased yet, which presented problems for me. You see, I don’t buy books until the second before I start them (I use an e-reader). Meaning, the prompt would really just be books I want to read, which I’ve discussed here, and here, and here.
So I’ve taken matters into my own hands and will offer a slight twist on the prompt by doing something I’ve wanted to do for forever: check out the craziest lists on Goodreads. Crazy is never a bad thing. In fact, I love crazy. For the purposes of this post, I’m defining crazy as something that I don’t hear about often. Or lists on things that I didn’t know were THINGS. So, on that note, here are the top ten craziest lists I’ve come across on Goodreads and the books I want to read on them (which I haven’t purchased yet). (See. Totally fits the theme.)
Welcome back to Top Ten Tuesday, a weekly feature hosted by the folks at The Broke and Bookish.
This week, I was supposed to list the top ten books people tell me I MUST read. Unfortunately, almost no one ever gives me book suggestions. Most of my friends are not big readers, and the ones that are enjoy books that I find rather dull (like non-fiction). Diana is one of the only people who gives me book recommendations, and since she writes this blog with me, I thought it would be weird for me to write a post listing Diana’s recommendations to me. It makes my head hurt just thinking about it.
So instead, I’ve enlisted Diana’s help. We’ve written each other letters recommending five books. Deciding who you will be stuck with on a deserted island takes a lot of planning and requires a serious consideration of your goals. Do you want to have a party island? A lively social circle? Do you want to survive Lord of the Flies style? Maybe a lady island? Me, I have only one goal for my trip to a deserted island: seduce Ralston (the hero from Nine Rules to Break When Romancing a Rake, by Sarah MacLean). So here are the people I’m bringing to my island in order to accomplish this lofty goal.
Welcome back to Top Ten Tuesday, a weekly feature hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. This week, we are looking at the ten authors who I own the most books by.
I'm not sure what the list represents; while it has some of my favorite authors, it certainly doesn't represent all of my favorite authors. It doesn't even represent all of my favorite series. Mostly, it seems to be a list of the longest series I've read. Welcome to Top Ten Tuesday, a weekly feature hosted by The Broke and the Bookish! This week, we are looking at ten of our favorite movies and TV shows.

About UsCommon Novel is a celebration of genre reading. It’s a celebration of the tattered paperback, of the third-time-through, and of the book that’s currently living in your purse. It’s a celebration of the genres themselves: romance, young adult, new adult, horror, mystery, science fiction, and fantasy. Archives
