Superhero cosplay often involves a lot of things I don't have. Namely, a penis. Unfortunately, I'm also lacking in the spandex department, and my abs aren't particularly impressive either. While lady superheroes are becoming more well-known all the time, dude superheroes still dominate the pop-culture landscape, making any attempt to really cosplay a superhero slightly challenging for a lady.
But that's sort of the great thing about everyday cosplay. I can draw inspiration from my favorite superheroes to create an outfit that's more flattering for more not so subtle lady parts. Because let's be real, have you seen Deadpool's ass in that spandex? There's no way I could ever live up to that. Plus, I can't very well waltz into my kid's daycare with Deadpool's cache of weapons.
No, if I want to pull of a Merc with the Mouth inspired outfit, it has to be slightly more flattering and slightly more subtle.

As you can see, I mainly focused on colors. Deadpool is really known for that red and black, so that's basically the only real requirement to an everyday Deadpool cosplay, in my opinion. Anything else is just bonus.
In the movie, Deadpool says that he wears red so that his enemies can't see him bleed. (Any lady already knows that brown, black, red, and maroon, are just super great colors to accomplish this function.) But Deadpool accomplishes this with a mostly red outfit, with just some black accents. I, however, went the other way.

I started with mostly red because I happen to own a pair of red pants, but I hated the fit and move-ability of them (they're now laying in the donation pile). So I switched over to black leggings, which made for a much more superhero feel. I can basically do anything Deadpool can do in my leggings. Except, you know, kick, run, fight, otherwise be a badass, etc. Anyways.
I wore red lipstick because of the red mask and a pretty heavy black eyeliner. I also had a black necklace that I threw on, but I could not stop thinking about how much I wished I had little black gun earrings to wear with this outfit all day. Like these badass ones I found on etsy.

Also, I think a red dress with a black sweater and tights would make a great everyday Deadpool cosplay, because that would achieve the mostly red with just touches of black that Deadpool so effortlessly rocks. Unfortunately, the only red dress I own was much too big and fancy for the occasion. I do, however, love the red and black combination, so this may be one of those casual cosplays that I come back to again and again.
